Soils - Soil survey of the Townsville Coastal Plains, North Queensland - ZED

This dataset is a Soil Profile Class survey of the Townsville coastal plains in the Burdekin, North Queensland. The study area covers parts of the Bowling Green Bay, Mingela, Rollingstone and Townsville 1: 100,000 map sheets (8359, 8258, 8159, 8259) and was completed in 1975. The mapping is at a scale of 1: 100,000 and 89 Soil Profile Classes were identified. It was undertaken by CSIRO and forms part of report number 55 in the Soils and Land Use Series. The free survey method was used.
