Soils - soils and land suitability of the Whitsunday Coast Area, North Queensland - WCS

This dataset is a Soil Profile Class and land suitability survey of the Whitsunday Coast area in North Queensland. The mapping covers parts of the Bowen, Calen, Proserpine and Urannah 1: 100,000 map sheets (8557, 8656, 8657, 8556) and was completed in 2003. The mapping is at a scale of 1: 50,000 and 136 Soil Profile Classes were identified. The survey joins the Mackay cane land study to the south (MCL) and the Bowen-Elliot river survey to the north (BER).
