Soils - sugar cane land suitability assessment Yellow Gin creek to Elliot river, North Queensland - RBO

This dataset is a Soil Profile Class and land suitability survey of the Burdekin River Irrigation Area, Right Bank in the Burdekin, North Queensland. The mapping covers parts of the Gumlu and Guthalungra 1: 50,000 map sheets (8458-3, 8458-2) and was completed in 1994. The mapping is at a scale of 1: 50,000 and 91 Soil Profile Classes were identified. The map is part of a suitability study which identified areas of land suitable for the irrigation of a range of crops, intake areas of the undulating rises, and areas affected by erosion.
