This dataset is a Soil Profile Class and land suitability survey of the Lower Burdekin River-Barratta Creek-Haughton River area in North Queensland. The mapping covers part of the Ayr 1: 100,000 map sheet (8358) and was completed in 1984. The mapping is at a scale of 1: 100,000 and 67 Soil Profile Classes were identified. The Lower Burdekin Valley has been divided into three major areas: - Right Bank (Burdekin River to Elliot River) - Land Resources Survey of the Burdekin Right Bank (BRB) - Left Bank (Burdekin River to Haughton River) - which is this survey. - Southern Area - Survey of the Soils of the Lower Burdekin Valley, North Queensland (BSA).
