"Searching for the naturalisation certificate of Johan Henrik Hansen. Not in Canberra. He was a Norwegian ships master from Tønsberg, who was known and migrated from Norway as “John Henry Hansen”. He arrived on 13 June 1873 by the Alardus, to Maryborough (Hervey Bay) from Hamburg as an ordinary immigrant (not crew??). He was 44 years old when he left Norway and I am told he was naturalised in Maryborough on 21 November 1873 giving his occupation as “Lutheran Minister” - yet he had only been in the country 5 months, since 13 June, so he was either ordained in Norway or in the 5 month since the arrival of that very disastrous ship. He died in 1899. With a big please, how and where do I get copy of his naturalisation certificate?"
