GSQ open data now accessible here!

Geosciences Queensland Open Data

As a part of the Queensland Government’s commitment to making government data more accessible and more easily discovered by users, the Queensland Government Open Data Portal now features more than 170,000 datasets from the Geological Survey of Queensland’s (GSQ) open data portal which can be accessed directly at https://geoscience.data.qld.gov.au/. GSQ provides geoscience and resource information to improve the understanding of the geology and minerals and energy resource potential of Queensland and promotes the geoscientific data and exploration potential to attract investment.

Filters

Along with this large increase in listed data, a new filter has been added to select between data hosted natively on data.qld.gov.au and metadata harvested from GSQ. This filter is located at the top of the filters list on the left-hand side of all dataset list/search result pages.

New datasets are frequently being added to the GSQ open data portal and these, along with new data from other government departments, will also be accessible through data.qld.gov.au.
