The Bowen Mining District, assigned to the Bowen Wardens Court and issued Plan Number 22 encompasses areas across eight 2 Mile maps and two 4 Mile maps (2M 310, 2M 311, 2M 312, 2M 341, 2M 342, 2M 345, 2M 346, 2M 347, 4M 071, 4M 079) this District was established on 1st January, 1972.
The maps have been charted by the Department of Mines, Queensland, to show Mining District names and boundaries, the assigned Wardens Court, and the allocated Plan Number. The Mining District Plans are made up of charted Two and Four Mile maps and contained within bound folders.
The 2M 310 series map was published in 1967 at 2 Miles to an Inch as part of the Queensland Two Mile Series and is located within the Bowen Mining District (8555, 8556, 8655, 8656) 1:100 000 map areas.
The 2M 311 series map was published in 1966 at 2 Miles to an Inch as part of the Queensland Two Mile Series and is located within the Bowen Mining District (8656, 8657, 8756, 8757) 1:100 000 map areas.
The 2M 312 series map was published in 1965 at 2 Miles to an Inch as part of the Queensland Two Mile Series and is located within the Bowen Mining District (8556, 8557, 8656, 8657) 1:100 000 map areas.
The 2M 341 series map was published in 1971 at 2 Miles to an Inch as part of the Queensland Two Mile Series and is located within the Bowen Mining District (8657, 8757) 1:100 000 map areas.
The 2M 342 series map was published in 1969 at 2 Miles to an Inch as part of the Queensland Two Mile Series and is located within the Bowen Mining District (8557, 8558, 8657) 1:100 000 map areas.
The 2M 345 series map was published in 1965 at 2 Miles to an Inch as part of the Queensland Two Mile Series and is located within the Bowen Mining District (8357, 8358, 8457, 8458) 1:100 000 map areas.
The 2M 346 series map was published in 1971 at 2 Miles to an Inch as part of the Queensland Two Mile Series and is located within the Bowen Mining District (8257, 8258, 8357, 8358) 1:100 000 map areas.
The 2M 347 series map was published in 1967 at 2 Miles to an Inch as part of the Queensland Two Mile Series and is located within the Bowen Mining District (8358, 8359, 8458, 8459) 1:100 000 map areas.
The 4M 071 series map was published at 4 Miles to an Inch as part of the Queensland Four Mile Series and is located within the Bowen Mining District (8253, 8254, 8255, 8353, 8354, 8355, 8453, 8454, 8455) 1:100 000 map areas.
The 4M 079 series map was published in 1968 at 4 Miles to an Inch as part of the Queensland Four Mile Series and is located within the Bowen Mining District (8255, 8256, 8257, 8355, 8356, 8357, 8455, 8456, 8457) 1:100 000 map areas.
The map products are available to all government agencies, industry and the public for reference.
