Townsville Hinterland Geology 1:500000 Geology Map First Edition 2000

The Townsville Hinterland Geology map was published in 2000 at 1:500 000 as part of the Geological Special 1:500 000 series to provide an interpretation of known surface geology information. This first edition map was prepared in collaboration with the Australian Geological Survey Organisation (AGSO), Department of Industry, Science and Resources, Canberra. The geology is based on data from field surveys by the Department of Mines and Energy and the Australian Geological Survey Organisation from 1979 to 1994. The map covers areas in the 1:250 000 map sheet areas of Einasleigh, Ingham, Clarke River, Townsville and parts of Ayr, Hughenden, Charters Towers and Bowen. The map product is available to all government agencies, industry and the public for reference.
