The North East Queensland AusAEM survey was flown between July and October 2024 and was a collaboration between the Geological Survey of Queensland and Geoscience Australia. Xcalibur Aviation was commissioned to acquire the survey using their TEMPEST airborne electromagnetic system. The survey was flown at a nominal line spacing of 20 kilometres, covering a total of 30,500 flight-line kilometres and forms part of an extensive national collection of AusAEM coverage across Australia. Data has also been released by Geoscience Australia: http://pid.geoscience.gov.au/dataset/ga/150185
The survey release package contains final products release by the contractor, Xcalibur Australia Pty Ltd.
- Survey logistics and processing report.
- Final processed electromagnetic, magnetic and elevation point located data.
- Processed electromagnetic, magnetic and elevation grids
- Point located conductivity estimates from EMFlow
- Contractor-supplied multi-plots of line data and conductivity sections.
The data release package also contains a suite of products derived from GA’s layered earth inversion algorithm.
- Point located file containing conductivity data, and modelled EM response for each sounding.
- Gocad sgrids 3D objects (suitable for various 3D packages).
- Multi-plot inverted electrical conductivity sections, monitored geometry parameters and noise levels as profiles in (PDF format) for all lines.
- Geo-referenced conductivity sections (PNG) suitable for pseudo-3D display in a 2D GIS.
