Exploration Permit for Coal 793 (EPC 793) is held Anglo Coal (Dawson South) Pty Ltd (51% equity share) and Mitsui Moura Investment Pty Limited (49% equity share). EPC 793 is a part of the Dawson Mining and Exploration Complex located approximately 170 km southwest of Gladstone.

The exploration objective for EPC 793 was to find and develop a suitable coal resource to extend the southern portion of the Dawson Mining Complex. The western part of the tement has been converted into MDL 365 due to the presence of economic coal seams. The eastern part is devoid of economic coal seams and as a result this tenement has been surrendered.
