EPM 27256, Annual and final activity report for the period ending 27 November 2024. Exploration completed on the tenement included geological reconnaissance mapping and a review of
soil geochemistry and ground and regional geophysics. Rock chip samples were collected from costeans, mullock piles adjacent to the historical workings, along with in situ samples of veining and altered host rock.
Results of rock chip sampling across the Blackbutt project area replicated the tenor of reported results and mineralisation styles from previous exploration.
Compilation of a geological review of EPM 27256 was undertaken in preparation for consultants to complete an Independent Geologist's Report for MPX's exploration assets in southeast Queensland which included the Blackbutt Project. This work was undertaken to be in support of an initial public offering (IPO) for official listing on the Australia Securities Exchange (ASX). During the listing process, however, BBM, was removed from the IPO due to the preference for a copper rather than gold focus.
Continuing unfavourable market demand and supply conditions have led to the surrender of the tenement. It is to be noted that the full potential of this area has not been adequately tested.
