MDL402 forms part of Savannahs Agate Creek Project, along with ML100030, EPM17788, EPM26460, EPM27906, EPM27907 and EPM28133 which cover 1035km2 in north Queensland. MDL402 was granted on the 1st June 2012 for a period of 5 years. MDL402 was renewed in 2017 for another 5-year term. An application for a further 5-year renewal was lodged in November 2021 and as part of the renewal process Savannah intends to voluntarily relinquish 45% of the current area of MDL402 that sits within RA404. This report covers all work completed within the relinquished portion of MDL402.
The relinquished part of MDL402 covers two areas, the first in the northwest and the second in the south. No on groundwork was completed in the northwestern area. Work completed within the southern area has included approx. 31 soils (Normandy), 12 stream sediment samples (Homestake), 43 rockchip samples (of which 19 were done by SVG the rest are historical sampling) and 8 RAB drillholes. Work completed has assessed these areas sufficiently to justify relinquishment with no further work recommended.
