EPM28075 DISMAL CREEK FINAL REPORT FOR PERIOD ENDING 04 JULY 2023

URL: https://geoscience.data.qld.gov.au/dataset/cr142141

This is the Final Report for EPM 28085 and reports work conducted Desdinova Metals Pty Ltd for the period from grant to the effective date of surrender. This tenement has also been surrendered due to being unsuccessful in obtaining a significant investor and or Joint Venture partner for the project. The principal target for the Mount Darcy Project is for the discovery of precious and base metals deposits, with likely the most prospective mineralisation being associated with Permo Carboniferous magmatic systems. A secondary target is uranium, molybdenum and rare earth deposits associated with this magmatism. In lieu of significant fieldwork, DES has carried out further technical review of historical reports, including extraction of further key geochemical data and maps. This is in conjunction with downloading all of the historical stream sediment, rock chip and soil sampling, and previous drillhole location data from the GSQ Open Data Portal over the area of EPMs 25524 and 28075. All of this data was collated into GIS format which has allowed a project synthesis of all available past and present exploration results to highlight the high priority areas within the project area for ground follow-up. During 2022-2023 and previous reporting periods on both tenements the prospectivity for an Intrusive Related Gold System at the Prestwood prospect has been enhanced from field work that included rock chip and soil sampling and further research on analogous IRGS systems.
