The Mount Hess Exploration Permit for Coal 1645 is part of the Hillalong Project located in the northern part of Queenslands Bowen Basin approximately 65 km by road northwest of Nebo and immediately northwest of Rio Tintos Hail Creek coal mining leases. The tenement consists of 10 sub blocks which was granted to Area Coal Pty Ltd on 31 August 2016 for a period of five years. Area Coal is a subsidiary of Australian Pacific Coal Limited
