INVENTORY OF NEAR PERALKALINE ROCKS IN EASTERN QLD FOR CRITICAL METAL POTENTIAL

This publication is an inventory of peralkaline or near-peralkaline rocks in eastern Queensland. The general characteristics of each rock unit (e.g. distribution, rock types present, age, geochemistry) are summarised from existing literature, databases and from the results of scoping fieldwork. The overall aim is to providing background information for researchers and mineral explorers interested in primary or secondary critical-metal deposits associated with peralkaline magmatism and the processes that lead to such enrichments.
