This report encompasses the operations conducted in Jordan 2 and Jordan 2R.
Jordan 2 is a coal seam gas exploration well operated by Queensland Gas Company Limited (QGC), in Authority to Prospect (ATP) 648P in the Surat Basin . The aim of the well was to target and evaluate coal seam gas in the Walloon Subgroup Coal Measures.
Des Caling Rig 2 spudded Jordan 2 on September 9th 2008. Surface casing was set at 63.77m and cemented before the well was drilled to a TD of 682.02mRT encountering coals in the Walloon Subgroup. Two wireline runs and three DSTs were performed post drilling. The well was plugged with cement over the Surface casing shoe and the well was suspended. Des Caling Rig 2 was released on September 16th 2008.
Jordan 2R was initiated when Ensign Rig 20 re-entered Jordan 2 on June 1st 2010 and tagged the cement plug at 37.59mRT. The cement plug was drilled out to 73.12mRT and the well was reamed / drilled to TD at 680.00mRT.
Two wireline runs were performed, and the well was cased with production casing and cemented with the well
suspended.
