PL183 DENISON GAS (QUEENSLAND) PTY LTD PUNCHBOWL GULLY 3 WELL COMPLETION REPORT

Punchbowl Gully 3 was drilled as a gas development well within the Denison Gas operated PL183. The tenement is located within the Denison Trough sub-basin of the greater Bowen Basin in southeast Queensland. This development well primarily targeted gas within the basal Aldebaran Sandstone, mainly the A1 Sand. However, thicker non-prognosed gas-bearing sequences were intersected on the flank of the structure resulting in new field gas reservoirs being discovered in the Staircase Sandstone and Riverstone Sandstone formations. Additional strong gas shows were penetrated in the Mostyndale Mudstone beneath the Riverstone Sandstone. The well finally reached total depth 217m lower than prognosed subsea TD.
