Child protection orders by Indigenous status by cultural support plan flag

Ongoing intervention is required when it has been determined that a child is in need of protection. The department may intervene through the use of a court assessment order, child protection order, or may work with parental agreement through an intervention with parental agreement. A cultural support plan is a written document that is a key part of the case planning process for every child from another culture, and in particular, for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander child.
