Acid sulfate soils - Tweed Heads to Teewah, South East Queensland - SEA

This dataset is an acid sulfate soils map for the Tweed Heads to Teewah area of South East Queensland. The mapping covers parts of the Beenleigh, Brisbane, Caloundra, Laguna Bay and Murwillumbah 1: 100,000 map sheets (9542, 9543, 9544, 9545, 9541) and was completed in 2003. It shows the presence or absence of acid sulfate soils in polygons interpreted as relatively homogenous acid sulfate environments. A combination of soils description, laboratory testing, elevation and geology data, and API (air photo interpretation) was used to construct the map.This mapping is at a nominal scale of 1:100,000 and is restricted to coastal areas below 5m AHD. This map may be used for broadscale land use planning. It is not suitable for local-scale or property-scale planning.
