# 2022-23 SLATS Data Report ## Changes * A new height layer has been added to the parquet file. This is from the global canopy height data set published by Lang et al. (2023) This is a 10m resolution estimate of canopy height, based on a model relating Sentinel-2 reflectance to vegetation height data from the space-borne LiDAR from the Global Ecosystem Dynamics Investigation mission. This addition adds considerable size to the parquet data file, users might want to take advantage of the format and tools such as duckdb to manage memory when using this data. * More accurate NRM boundaries are now used. Previous reports relied on a catchment to NRM Region mapping. There are some discrepancies between the two layers, and for this report we've added a direct NRM Region breakdown variable. The overlapping region, shared between Cape York and Gulf Savannah NRMs has been given it's own group, and labelled 'Joint management area'. ## Breakdown Layers * Biogeographic Subregions - Qld V5.0, Herbarium, 2017 (last updated 20/08/2010) Exported from SIRQRY: QLD.BIOSUBREGION 15/11/2021 * Local Government Boundaries, Resources, 2021 Exported from SIRQRY: PROP.QLD\_LOCGOVBDY\_DCDB 12/11/2021 * NRM Regions This layer is named "Natural resource management regional boundaries - Queensland" and can be obtained from the Queensland Spatial Catalogue - Qspatial (https://qldspatial.information.qld.gov.au/catalogue/custom/detail.page?fid={93DF21E6-FE6F-47C9-A03A-9D809CD95FB2}) * Drainage basins / catchments Exported from SIRQRY: PROP.DRAINAGE\_BASINS\_QUEENSLAND 12/11/2021 * Remnant Vegetation Cover layer QLD\_REMVEGCOV\_2021 (V13.1) * Queensland High Value Regrowth (v13.1.1) * Regulated Vegetation Management Map V6.00 * Regional Ecosystems V13.1, Mar 2021 QLD\_REG\_ECO\_REMNANT\_2012\_V12 layer qld\_reg\_eco\_remnant\_2021 (v13.1)
